Shih-poo puppies for sale
A Shih-Poo crosses a Shih Tzu with a Toy or Miniature Poodle. It has no AKC breed standard of its own, so a puppy's size and coat follow the two parents it comes from. The Shih-poo puppies listed now come from Maple Lane Pets.
- Small. The parent breeds run 4 to 16 pounds, so ask whether the Poodle parent is a Toy or a Miniature.
- Little shedding. AKC scores the Shih Tzu and the Poodle 1 of 5 for shedding, and both coats need regular brushing.
- Good with kids. AKC gives the Shih Tzu and both Poodle sizes its top score with young children.
- Check both parents. Ask for the Poodle parent's patella, eye and PRA-prcd results, since AKC lists no club tests for the Shih Tzu.
